Product Description: Code 340P124262 TBi M8 1.2mm Nickel Plated Contact Nozzle, Thanks to a special nickel layer applied to the high-performance CuCrZr alloy, it is an "armored" consumable material developed for use in spatter welding applications and under high thermal radiation.
⚠️ Engineering Detail: What is the Difference Between Nickel Plating vs. 343 (High Zr) Series?
At Astoryas, our mission is to help our customers choose the right product. The difference between two premium products is this:• 343 Series (3 Stripes): The material internal chemistry It has been modified. It is resistant to softening under heat.
• This Product (Nickel Plated): The material outer surface It is armored. Nickel is a much harder and more slippery metal than copper.
Splash Shield (Anti-Spatter): Molten welding spatter adheres very easily to copper surfaces, but it cannot adhere to nickel surfaces; it slides off. This nozzle prevents spatter accumulation and short circuits within the nozzle.
Radiant Heat Reflection: Standard copper nozzles are dark in color and absorb heat. Nickel-plated "silver" surfaces, on the other hand, are shiny; they reflect the radiant heat from the welding arc like a mirror. This allows the nozzle to operate cooler.
Low Friction (Tribology): Nickel plating reduces the coefficient of friction at the wire exit hole. This delays keyholing of the wire at the nozzle and maintains arc stability.
Technical Advantages:
Corrosion Resistance: Nickel plating protects the nozzle from oxidation and the effects of sulfide environments.
Pulse Source Compatibility: In pulse and galvanized sheet metal welding, which carry a high risk of spatter, it offers up to twice the lifespan compared to standard nozzles.
Perfect Ignition: Thanks to its clean tip structure, the robot ensures a flawless arc start every time.
Compatibility: Bu ürün; standart M8 diş yapısına sahip tüm TBi, Binzel, Abicor ve muadili robotik/manuel torçlar ile %100 uyumludur.
Frequently Asked Questions:
1. In which situations should I choose a nickel-plated (silver) nozzle?
If your nozzle and brush head are constantly clogged with debris (spray) and you can't manage to clean them, you should choose this product. Its deburring feature increases operational efficiency.
2. Is its conductivity worse than standard copper?
No. The housing is again a highly conductive CuCrZr alloy. The very thin nickel plating does not prevent electrical flow, it only protects the surface.
3. Which is better, the 343 Series (3-stripe) or this nickel-plated one?
It depends on the application. If there are consistently high amperage and heat issues... 343 Series. If there is excessive debris and dirt problem Nickel Plated The series is better.
