Product Description: Code 673P102082 TBi RM2 82W Isolator (Gas Diffuser), In high-amperage, water-cooled robotic torches, the gas nozzle is a critical safety component that acts as a barrier between the electrically charged internal components (nozzle holder/contact nozzle) and the external housing (gas nozzle), possessing high thermal resistance.
⚠️ Engineering Detail: Why Original TBI Isolators?
In robotic welding, temperatures at the torch tip exceed 1000°C. Standard plastics melt or carbonize at this temperature, becoming conductive.
TBi 673P102082, It is manufactured from a special thermoset composite reinforced with glass fibers. This material:
Dielectric Strength: Yüksek voltaj altında bile elektriği asla iletmez. Böylece kaynak arkının nozul üzerinden parçaya atlamasını (Side Arcing) ve nozulun delinmesini %100 engeller.
Thermal Stability: It retains its shape at the high temperatures of water-cooled systems, does not melt, and prevents the gas nozzle from getting stuck in the torch neck.
Gas Direction: Its design helps create a laminar gas curtain by directing the protective gas from the nozzle holder toward the nozzle walls.
Technical Advantages:
Mechanical Strength: The robot is resistant to breakage from the impacts and compression forces it is subjected to in the nozzle cleaning station (Reamer).
Precision Assembly: The TBi RM2 82W fits onto the neck with millimeter precision and also acts as a gasket to prevent gas leaks.
Longevity: It is easy to clean thanks to its smooth surface that resists splashing.
Compatibility: This product is for; only TBI RM2 82W (Water Cooled) This series is compatible with robotic torch necks. It should not be confused with air-cooled models.
Frequently Asked Questions:
1. What happens if the insulator breaks or cracks?
A cracked insulator causes electricity to escape into the gas nozzle. This degrades the welding quality, punctures the nozzle, and causes the robot to stop with an "Arc Fault". It must be replaced immediately.
2. Can it be used in an air-cooled torch (72G)?
No. The RM2 82W and 72G models have different internal geometries. Each torch has its own unique insulator.
3. How often should it be changed?
Consumables should be visually inspected during replacement. They should be replaced if they are excessively discolored, have deep burn marks, or show deformation in the threads.
